How to make it

  • Measure flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into mixing bowl. Stir well. Add cheese, onion and green pepper. Stir lightly to mix.
  • Add cooking oil and milk. Stir to mix into a soft ball. Turn out onto lightly floured surface. Knead 8 to 10 times. Roll out pat to 3/4 inch thickness. Cut with 2 1/4 inch round floured cookie cutter. Arrange on ungreased baking sheet. Bake in 425 degrees F oven for about 15 minutes until browned.
  • Makes 12.

    These are really good. I was in a rush and didn't have time to do the kneading process, so instead I just used my cupcake pan, gave each cup a quick shot of spray oil and divided the dough between the twelve cups. They baked up nicely. Just be careful to use a plastic spatula, or something else with a little give, to get them out. The first one wanted to stick. Really good!
