How to make it

  • Combine dry ingredients.
  • Mix together buttermilk, egg yolks, apples & vanilla
  • Stir wet into dry
  • Add melted butter
  • Beat egg white until they hold soft peaks. Sir gently into batter
  • Spread a ladleful of batter onto waffle iron and bake until waffle is done, usually 3 - 5 minutes
  • Serve immediately or keep warm in low oven
  • Freeze leftovers for quick breakfast
