Caramel Rum Pineapple Sauce For Ice Cream Recipe
This is an incredibly good sauce. It's easy and goes so good over ice cream. Yummy. I have also poured it over hot molten cakes. What a delight.

Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 1 pineapple cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 2 tablespoons rum
  • 1/2 vanilla bean

Directions
  1. Melt butter then add sugar and stir until melted.
  2. Split and scrape the inside of the vanilla bean and reserve.
  3. Add pineapple, rum and reserved vanilla bean to sugar mixture then cook on high until liquid is reduced and pineapple is glazed.
  4. Serve over ice cream.
