Sweet Dill Pickles With Onion Recipe
I make these for my friends who don't like the popular Fire And Ice pickles so popular now.

Ingredients
  • 1 (32 ounce) jar sliced hamburger dill pickles
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon celery seed or mustard seed
  • 1 large sweet onion, halved and sliced

Directions
  1. Drain pickles well.
  2. I large jar (or smaller jars) layer pickle slices alternating with onion.
  3. In saucepan, combine sugar, water, vinegar and seed of choice.
  4. Bring to a boil.
  5. Pour over pickles.
  6. Apply lid(s) and chill overnight.
  7. Will keep several weeks.
