Sweet Dill Pickles with Onion

- 1 (32 ounce) jar sliced hamburger dill pickles shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup water shopping list
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar shopping list
- 1/2 to 1 teaspoon celery seed or mustard seed shopping list
- 1 large sweet onion, halved and sliced shopping list
How to make it
- Drain pickles well.
- I large jar (or smaller jars) layer pickle slices alternating with onion.
- In saucepan, combine sugar, water, vinegar and seed of choice.
- Bring to a boil.
- Pour over pickles.
- Apply lid(s) and chill overnight.
- Will keep several weeks.
