This dish has a crust that has been allowed to rise making it thick, bumpy and wonderful. New Yorkers have scoffed at this recipe but mid westerners will appreciate it.

Ingredients
  • CRUST
  • 2 1/2 cups All Purpose Flour
  • 3 cups Bread Flour
  • 3 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons Salt
  • 3 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 ½ cups Water
  • 2 teaspoons Active Dry Yeast
  • TOPPINGS
  • Spaghetti Sauce
  • 8 oz Block Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 Package Sliced Pepperoni

Directions
  1. Mix dry ingredients including yeast
  2. Add water and oil kneed until dough is firm
  3. Cover and place in oven set to warm for about ½ an hour
  4. Kneed dough, flatten, place on pizza pan, rub top with olive oil and place back in oven to rise for 15 minutes
  5. Take crust out of the oven and pre heat to 425
  6. Grate your cheese
  7. Spoon spaghetti sauce onto crust generously leaving the edges bare
  8. Sprinkle grated mozzarella over sauce
  9. Add sliced pepperoni
  10. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes
  11. Let cool and enjoy

Sounds really delicious. I have never attempted to make anything with yeast in it. maybe it is time I start. LOL

North-East Pa lovers will really enjoy!!!!!I always make my own Pizza.I will also make one with mushrooms and one with pepperoni for my husband.
