How to make it

  • Melt butter in a saucepan and saute chicken, onion and garlic until tender.
  • Combine flour and half and half or cream and stir until smooth. Gradually add to chicken.
  • Add chicken broth, salt and pepper and stir until thickened.
  • Add grated cheddar cheese and stir over low heat until cheese is melted.
  • Add green chile and tomatoes and simmer on low for 15 minutes stirring often.
  • Serve with tortilla chips.
