Grandmother Botts Pound Cake Recipe
This pound cake is even great for breakfast warmed slightly with a dab of your favorite jam.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Crisco shortening
  • 1-2/3 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla flavoring
  • ½ tsp almond flavoring

Directions
  1. Cream Crisco & sugar.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, mixing after each egg.
  3. Add flour one cup at a time then mixing.
  4. Stir in vanilla and almond.
  5. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour

It would also be good to use with parfaits....I love pound cake that way..... this sounds great...
