Almond Pie

- Cook time includes time to chill pie shopping list
- 5 oz chow mein noodles shopping list
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds shopping list
- 5 tablespoons butter or margarine melted shopping list
- 1/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 3.5 oz pacakge vanilla instant pie filling shopping list
- 2 and 1/2 cups milk shopping list
- 1/2 cup sour cream shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- Place noodles and almonds in blender or food processor
- Blend until finely ground
- In medium bowl combine noodle mixture, butter, and sugar mixing well
- Place noodle mixture in a 9 inch pie plate pressing onto bottom and up the sides to form pie crust
- Bake for 10 to 15 minutes until crust is lightly browned
- Cool pie shell completly
- In a medium bowl combine pudding mix, milk, sour cream and almond extract
- Beat with mixer 1 to 2 minutes until well blended
- Pour into cooled pie shell
- Refrigerate at least one hour before serving
