Festive Cake

- 3 cups flour shopping list
- 2 cups sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 1 cup chopped nuts shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups oil shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, may also substitute almond extract shopping list
- 2 cups chopped, firm, ripe bananas shopping list
- 1-8 ounce can crushed pineapple shopping list
- cream cheese frosting shopping list
How to make it
- In a bowl, mix then sift flour, sugar, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.
- Stir in nuts.
- In another bowl, beat eggs slightly.
- Add oil, extract, bananas,and undrained pineapples.
- Add dry ingredients and mix thoroughtly, BUT DO NOT BEAT!
- Spoon into a well-oiled 10-inch tube pan.
- Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 20-25 mnutes.
- Remove from oven.
- Let stand 10-15 minutes.
- Invert cake on wire rack and remove pan.
- Cool thoroughly before frosting.
- Use cream cheese frosting and frost cake.
