This dish is a great appetizer for tailgating or just a lazy afternoon with family or friends. It goes fast!! This my wife's recipe I added the flair!!

Ingredients
  • 3 lbs of fresh shrimp
  • (Gulf shrimp are the best, if you can find them)
  • 1 4oz bottle of Zatarain's Liquid Shrimp and Crab Boil (Concentrated)
  • 4 lemons
  • 1 t red pepper
  • 3 T of salt
  • 1 purple onion
  • 1 of each of the following peppers:
  • yellow pepper
  • red pepper
  • green pepper
  • toothpicks
  • i large jar of italian dressing
  • 1 large covered container

Directions
  1. How to boil shrimp:
  2. in a large pot, bring 2 quarts of water, salt and red pepper to a boil
  3. add shrimp and 1 T of liquid shrimp and crab boil
  4. WHEN YOU SEE THE SHRIMP TURN PINK, TURN THE EYE OFF!!
  5. Now let the shrimp cool down for about 10 minutes, this will let the shrimp absorb the seasonings.
  6. While the shrimp are having fun, take the onion and peppers and cube them into bitesize pieces.
  7. after 10 mins. remove shrimp, drain them and peel
  8. Then into your large covered container add:
  9. peeled shrimp
  10. cubed peppers and onion
  11. jar of italian dressing
  12. cover and shake
  13. marinade for three hours or more and get ready to watch them disappear
