How to make it

  • Heat butter and unsweetened chocolate in a double boiler until chocolate melts.
  • Stir to blend and set aside to cool slightly.
  • Mix vinegar and milk. Set aside.
  • In a bowl, mix flour and baking soda. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, mash bananas.
  • Add sugar and beat until wll mixed.
  • Add vanilla and eggs and beat again.
  • Add chocolate when it's cooled.
  • Alternately add flour and milk, beating after each addition.
  • When all is mixed, fold in chocolate chips.
  • Spoon mixture into 12 paper-lined muffin cups.
  • Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.
  • Cool in pan for 5 minutes.
  • Transfer to a wire rack and cool completely.
  • Makes 1 dozen large miffins.
