How to make it

  • In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup water to a boil. Stir in 1 1/3 cup instant rice -- remove from heat, cover and let stand for 5 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, cook 1 slightly beaten egg in 3 TBS margarine.
  • Add 1/3 cup chopped onion and the rice. Saute, stirring over medium heat until mixture is lightly browned.
  • Mix 1/3 cup water with 2-3 TBS soy sauce and stir into rice.
  • For added color, cook in frozen peas.
  • Cook until hot. Serve.
