Pear And Apricot Chutney Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3lb hard conference pears
  • 3 medium onions
  • 12 oz dried apricots
  • 2lb sugar (any)
  • 1&1/2 pt malt vinegar
  • 1dst spn chilli flakes
  • 2tsp ground ginger
  • 2tsp pickling spice
  • 1tsp ground allspice
  • 2 bay leaves

Directions
  1. Chop onions and apricots
  2. peel core and rough cut pears
  3. add all ingredients to pan
  4. stir regulary
  5. simmer until a deep groove is left by the wooden spoon
  6. put into sterilised jars and store in a cool dark place for at least 6 weeks.

I just canned my first chutney and posted the recipe earlier. I loved the idea and the end result. Now I have your recipe to try and the blending of flavors sound wonderful. Thank you for sharing, =D
