This is an easy, homey recipe that fills the house with the smell of pumpkin pie only it's baked as a cake! Yum!

Ingredients
  • 3 c all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 2 c sugar
  • 1 1/4 c oil
  • 2 c canned pumpkin (not pie filling)
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 c chopped pecans
  • 1 c semisweet chocolate chips
  • Glaze:
  • 2 c icing sugar
  • 4 tbsp milk (or more to thin into glaze)
  • 2 tbsp softened butter
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions
  1. In large bowl sift together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, allspice, cloves, nutmeg, and salt.
  2. Beat eggs and sugar together then add oil and pumpkin.
  3. Blend this into the flour mix then fold in nuts and chocolate chips.
  4. Pour into a greased and floured 10 c bundt pan and bake in a 350 degree oven for about one hour.
  5. Cool for about 15 minutes then turn out onto a cooling rack.
  6. For glaze:
  7. Combine all ingredients itno a thin glaze then pour decoratively over cooled bundt cake.
