Frikadellan - German style meat balls

- 1 lb ground beef shopping list
- 1 lb ground pork shopping list
- 3 small onions, diced shopping list
- 1 T. oil shopping list
- 8 T. breadcrumbs or 2 slices white bread shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
- 2 t. basil shopping list
- 2 t. salt shopping list
- 2 t. pepper shopping list
- 2 t. flour shopping list
- 5 T. oil shopping list
How to make it
- Mix ground meats together in a mixing bowl.
- Peel and dice the onions, then saute in oil until transparent. Add sauteed onions to meat mixture.
- Stir together breadcrumbs and milk, and add to meat mixture. Add basil, salt, pepper, flour and mix well.
- Dampen hands and form meat mixture into meatballs or flat patties. Fry on both sides in oil until golden brown.
