Roasted Pecan Apple Salad

- Salad: shopping list
- 1 head red leaf lettuce shopping list
- 1 head bib leaf lettuce shopping list
- 1 C watercress shopping list
- 2 red delecious apples shopping list
- 3/4 C blue cheese shopping list
- 3/4 C roasted pecans shopping list
- roast Pecans: shopping list
- 3/4 C chopped pecans shopping list
- 1/4 C corn syrup shopping list
- 1/4 C butter shopping list
- 2T water shopping list
- 1/4 Tsp salt shopping list
- Dressing: shopping list
- 1/4 C walnut oil shopping list
- 1/4C cyder vineger shopping list
- 2T shallot (finely chopped) shopping list
- 2 T lemon juice shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to250
- Bring corn syrup, butter, water, and salt to boil
- Add pecans and stir a few minutes
- Spread on well greased cookie sheet
- Bake for an hour and stir every ten minutes.
- Slice apples thin and length wise.
- Hint: when sliced place them in a bowl with cold water and cyder vinegar, this will prevent them from browning.
- On individual plates place a nice big leaf of the bib lettuce. Then place the salad mixed with dressing on top. Place the thinly slice apple in a radial circle and sprinkle your roased pecans and blue cheese.
