Jambalaya Shrimp and Rice

- 4 slices of bacon, diced shopping list
- 1 medium onion, minced shopping list
- 1/2 medium green pepper, diced shopping list
- 2 c. chicken bouillon shopping list
- 1/2 c. organic ketchup shopping list
- 2 T. organic brown sugar shopping list
- 1 - 10 oz. package of cooked, shelled, deveined and tails removed shrimp(thaw before using) shopping list
- 1 c. finely diced ham shopping list
- 2 T. cornstarch shopping list
- 3 T. cold water shopping list
- salt & pepper to taste shopping list
- Hot, cooked, organic rice shopping list
How to make it
- In a large skillet, cook bacon until crisp.
- Remove from pan
- Cook onion and pepper in bacon fat for 5 minutes
- Add next 3 ingredients
- Simmer covered for 15 minutes
- Cut shrimp into pieces and add to skillet
- Add ham mixture and heat well
- Thicken with blended cornstarch and water; season with salt and pepper to taste
- Serve over hot rice
