Mexican Beans In The Crock Pot Recipe
Incredible incredible incredible. This recipe comes from my sister in law who is a dynamic cook. We love these and hope you do too.

Ingredients
  • 1 pound dried pinto beans
  • Spice Mix:
  • 1/2 cup cumin
  • 1/2 cup chili powder
  • 4 tablespoons salt
  • 1-1/2 cup dried minced garlic
  • 4 tablespoons freshly ground black pepper
  • 1-1/2 cup dried minced onions

Directions
  1. Combine all spice mix ingredients and store all but 3 tablespoons in an airtight jar.
  2. Rinse and sort beans.
  3. Soak in 4 cup waters overnight.
  4. Pour soaked beans in crock pot with 2 cup fresh water and 3 tablespoons of the mix.
  5. Cook until tender.
  6. Before serving add 2 teaspoons salt and 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper.
