Such a pretty dish and really different...easy to make and very colorful.I like to surround this with frozen seedless grapes in whatever colors are available and a marscapone dip to accompany.

Ingredients
  • 71/2 to 8 tbls. flour
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Water as required
  • Oil for deep frying
  • sugar or sugar substitute powder to your taste
  • 1 apple, peeled, cored and cubed
  • 8 fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 pineapple slices, cut into cm cubes
  • 8 orange slices, segmented
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 1 tbs cornstarch
  • garnish with sesame seeds, toasted

Directions
  1. MIX the flour, salt and beaten egg.
  2. Add enough water and bind to stiff dough.
  3. Allow the dough to rest for 30 minutes.
  4. Knead again, roll into paper-thin sheets and cut into broad strips. Deep fry the rolled strips in hot oil till crisp and arrange on a platter.
  5. Melt the sugar substitute powder in a hot pan with a little water,
  6. add cut fresh fruits and lightly sauté them.
  7. Dissolve cornstarch in a little water to a smooth paste.
  8. Add to the pan and stir well.
  9. Serve piping hot fruits on crusts, sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds
