Crispy Crusts With Sauted Fruits

- 71/2 to 8 tbls. flour shopping list
- A pinch of salt shopping list
- 1 egg, beaten shopping list
- water as required shopping list
- oil for deep frying shopping list
- sugar or sugar substitute powder to your taste shopping list
- 1 apple, peeled, cored and cubed shopping list
- 8 fresh strawberries, sliced shopping list
- 2 pineapple slices, cut into cm cubes shopping list
- 8 orange slices, segmented shopping list
- 1 banana, sliced shopping list
- 1 tbs cornstarch shopping list
- garnish with sesame seeds, toasted shopping list
How to make it
- MIX the flour, salt and beaten egg.
- Add enough water and bind to stiff dough.
- Allow the dough to rest for 30 minutes.
- Knead again, roll into paper-thin sheets and cut into broad strips. Deep fry the rolled strips in hot oil till crisp and arrange on a platter.
- Melt the sugar substitute powder in a hot pan with a little water,
- add cut fresh fruits and lightly sauté them.
- Dissolve cornstarch in a little water to a smooth paste.
- Add to the pan and stir well.
- Serve piping hot fruits on crusts, sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds
