Easy Fruit Cobbler
From magnoliasouth 18 years agoIngredients
                    - 1 can of pie filling (OR 1 can of fruit, drained) shopping list
 - 1 stick of butter or margarine shopping list
 - 1 c. self-rising flour shopping list
 - 1/2 c. sugar (OR 1 full c., if using canned fruit instead of pie filling) shopping list
 - 1 c. milk shopping list

How to make it
                    - Preheat oven to 350°F.
 - Place butter or margarine in a standard glass loaf dish and put it in the oven to melt.
 - While margarine melts, combine flour, sugar and milk in a small bowl; mix well.
 - When butter or margarine is melted, pour flour mixture directly into the margarine. It may sizzle and/or bubble, but that's okay. Don't stir it, just pour it in there. I usually pour it down the middle lengthwise, sort of trough-like, but as long as you don't stir it, you're good.
 - Next pour the fruit directly on top of the rest, in the same manner.
 - Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until it's a deep golden brown.
 - Let it sit 5-10 minutes, then serve while still warm.
 - Note: My family also likes it with ice cream on top, and whipped cream is good too.
