How to make it

  • Directions: Whisk eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg, custard powder and milk together with wire whip. Stir cream cheese, jam, almond extract and almonds for stuffing. Set aside.
  • Dip bread slices into whisked eggs. Fry on griddle until golden brown. Prepare like a sandwich, placing the filling ingredients between 2 slices of bread. Keep in warm oven until ready to serve.
  • Optional: Sift a light sprinkle of powdered sugar over French toast and top with a few sliced almonds. Garnish with fruit, mint and a pansy. Serve with warm apricot syrup
