Homemade Kahula

- 1-2in. vanilla bean shopping list
- 3 3/4 c sugar shopping list
- 7 tbsp instant coffee shopping list
- 1 26oz vodka shopping list
- caramel coloring (optional) shopping list
- 2c water shopping list
- 1/4c water shopping list
How to make it
- Cut vanilla bean into 2-3 pieces
- Add sugar and 2 c water into sauce pan.
- Boil for 30 mins.
- Let cool.
- Dissolve coffee in 1/4c boiling water.
- In a large jar mix coffee, cooled sugar solution, vanilla and glycerine
- If a darker color is desired, add the caramel coloring
- Seal jar and shake well.
- It is better if you let stand for at least 2 weeks before using.
