I make these every year along with my Baileys. A real hit!!!

Ingredients
  • 1-2in. vanilla bean
  • 3 3/4 c sugar
  • 7 tbsp instant coffee
  • 1 26oz vodka
  • caramel coloring (optional)
  • 2c water
  • 1/4c water

Directions
  1. Cut vanilla bean into 2-3 pieces
  2. Add sugar and 2 c water into sauce pan.
  3. Boil for 30 mins.
  4. Let cool.
  5. Dissolve coffee in 1/4c boiling water.
  6. In a large jar mix coffee, cooled sugar solution, vanilla and glycerine
  7. If a darker color is desired, add the caramel coloring
  8. Seal jar and shake well.
  9. It is better if you let stand for at least 2 weeks before using.
