Buckwheat Pancakes
From pamela 17 years agoIngredients
- 6 tbsp buckwheat flour shopping list
- 6 tbsp all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1 tsp white sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1 cup buttermilk shopping list
- 3 tbsp butter shopping list
- 3 tbsp melted butter shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
How to make it
- Combine the buttermilk, melted butter and egg in a medium sized bowl.
- In a separate bowl, combine the buckwheat and white flour, sugar, soda and salt. Add the dry ingredients into the egg-mixture and stir until the two have just combined.
- Heat your griddle (or large frying pan) to medium-hot, and add 1 tablespoon of margarine, butter, or oil. Let the butter melt prior to adding the batter to the frying pan, then create 4 inch pancakes out of the batter. After bubbles have formed on top, flip and cook on the other side for about 3 minutes. Continue this process until all of you batter has been used.
