Buckwheat Pancakes Recipe

Ingredients
  • 6 tbsp buckwheat flour
  • 6 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp white sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions
  1. Combine the buttermilk, melted butter and egg in a medium sized bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the buckwheat and white flour, sugar, soda and salt. Add the dry ingredients into the egg-mixture and stir until the two have just combined.
  3. Heat your griddle (or large frying pan) to medium-hot, and add 1 tablespoon of margarine, butter, or oil. Let the butter melt prior to adding the batter to the frying pan, then create 4 inch pancakes out of the batter. After bubbles have formed on top, flip and cook on the other side for about 3 minutes. Continue this process until all of you batter has been used.
