How to make it

  • Add yeast to mixture in bowl and 8-10 c flour. Knead for 10 minutes
  • Grease a large bowl, add dough, cover, and let stand in a warm place for 2 hours.
  • Knead down. Let rise 1 hour.
  • Form into balls, set wide apart on greased pan, cover, let rise 3 hours.
  • Bake 20-20 minutes.

    This recipe makes a lot of buns. I usually make at least one dozen with grated cheddar cheese on top, and then at least one dozen cinnamon buns. Extras go in the freezer ASAP - they are almost as good as fresh.

    thanks so much they turned out great. The kids thank you to. I served the buns with my stew recipe. Needless to say I have no more buns left..LOL

    I will give it a try. I do not know what it is put I have not found a receipe for buns or bread that I like. They all taste good, but I find them a little bit on the heavy side, and not rising good enough. My husband says i am to picky..LOL but for me it should be the same as getting it at the bakery.
