How to make it

  • Beat egg yolks and brown sugar until thick. Add pumpkin, milk, salt, and spices. Cook on stove until thick. Remove from heat.
  • Soften gelatin in cold water. Stir into the hot mixture.
  • Beat egg whites until stiff and add white sugar until very stiff. Fold into pumpkin.
  • Pour into cooled and baked shells and chill.
