Ingredients
  • 1 9" round pone of "southern cornbread" (no sugar please)
  • 4 baked biscuits
  • 6 - 8 cups chicken or turkey broth
  • 3 - 4 beaten eggs
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped celery
  • Dried sage to taste
  • Poultry seasoning to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 8 tablespoons butter or margarine

Directions
  1. Bake 1 pone cornbread. Crumble the cornbread in large heatproof round mixing bowl. Heat the chicken/turkey broth. While broth is heating, add the chopped onion, chopped celery, sage, pepper, poultry seasoning, & salt to the cornbread mixture. Add the butter/margarine. Add beaten egg. Blend well. Then add hot broth. Mix well. Pour into a Pam'd 13x9x3" metal baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
