Cornbread Dressing Southern Style

- 1 9" round pone of "southern cornbread" (no sugar please) shopping list
- 4 baked biscuits shopping list
- 6 - 8 cups chicken or turkey broth shopping list
- 3 - 4 beaten eggs shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped onion shopping list
- 1/4 cup chopped celery shopping list
- dried sage to taste shopping list
- poultry seasoning to taste shopping list
- salt to taste shopping list
- black pepper to taste shopping list
- 8 tablespoons butter or margarine shopping list
How to make it
- Bake 1 pone cornbread. Crumble the cornbread in large heatproof round mixing bowl. Heat the chicken/turkey broth. While broth is heating, add the chopped onion, chopped celery, sage, pepper, poultry seasoning, & salt to the cornbread mixture. Add the butter/margarine. Add beaten egg. Blend well. Then add hot broth. Mix well. Pour into a Pam'd 13x9x3" metal baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
