How to make it

  • In a saucepan, combine the chocolate, sugar and 1/2 cup of the milk. Cook and stir over medium heat until the mixture comes to a boil. Stir in the remaining milk and cream.
  • Heat through, but do not boil. Remove from the heat. If you like, beat with a rotary beater until frothy. Serve hot in mugs. Top each with whipped cream and a dash of
  • cinnamon. Serve with buttered toast for dunking.

    Reminds me of my Dad,he use to eat,bread,sugar and milk together.Miss Him! I like salatine crackers,sugar and milk in a glass eaten with a spoon.(and yes I wear shoes and I did'nt marry my cousin) Thanks

    Sounds like Toast and Cocoa night when my husband was growing up with his 11 other siblings - once a week this was their dinner, and the kids all LOVED it...hot toast for dunking in your cocoa, oh yeah!
