Swedish Jam Bread Recipe
This is a shamefully easy recipe --I took it to a library fundraiser and everyone raved and wanted the recipe. The people could not beleive how easy it was to make such a...masterfully tastey bar cookie.

Ingredients
  • 1 yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 C. chopped nuts-whatever you prefer
  • 1/4 C. butter
  • 1 egg
  • A Jar of Jam - whatever you prefer - apricot is popular as is raspberry
  • Drizzle Frosting:
  • Powdered sugar
  • 2 t. water and some almond extract
  • You be the judge of how much you wish to drizzle over the top of cookies. You do not want a lot.

Directions
  1. Mix the cake mix, nuts, butter and egg together and spread on the bottom of a jellyroll pan. Spread the jam over the cake mixture. Bake at ~350 'til jam is bubbly. Prepare the frosting and drizzle over cookies while warm.
