Quick And Easy Kolacky Open Faced Tarts

- 1/2 pound butter shopping list
- 8 ounce package cream cheese shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 1 cup powdered sugar shopping list
- 2 teaspoons baking powder shopping list
How to make it
- Cream together butter and cream cheese
- Sift together flour, sugar and baking powder
- Blend well with the butter cream cheese mixture (use processor or mixer)
- Roll into 3-inch diameter roll, wrap and refrigerate for several hours
- Slice 1/4-inch thick and shape into 3 inch circles
- Press down center and fill with choice of fruit or fillings
- Bake at 350 degrees, ( I have baked them at 325) until lightly browned
- Be creative about the fruit or filling
- NOTE: Suggestions for fruit......jellies, jams, preserves, marmalade, lemon jelly, etc. Or filling with a dab of pie filling right before serving
