How to make it

  • Cream together butter and cream cheese
  • Sift together flour, sugar and baking powder
  • Blend well with the butter cream cheese mixture (use processor or mixer)
  • Roll into 3-inch diameter roll, wrap and refrigerate for several hours
  • Slice 1/4-inch thick and shape into 3 inch circles
  • Press down center and fill with choice of fruit or fillings
  • Bake at 350 degrees, ( I have baked them at 325) until lightly browned
  • Be creative about the fruit or filling
  • NOTE: Suggestions for fruit......jellies, jams, preserves, marmalade, lemon jelly, etc. Or filling with a dab of pie filling right before serving
