  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c low-fat milk
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 slices french bread, 1 inch thick
  • 1 tsp margarine or butter

Directions
  1. Beat egg, milk, sugar, and cinnamon in bowl. Soak bread in mixture until
  2. saturated. Melt margarine in skillet. Cook bread slices over medium heat
  3. until golden brown on each side, about 10 minutes. Serve hot with fruit,
  4. low-sugar syrup, or powdered sugar.
  5. Makes 1 Serving.
  6. Dietary Exchanges: 1 Medium-Fat Meat, 2 Starch, 1 Fat

Have to try that, guess with the cinnamon and sugar in it you don't need syrup huh!


Great diabetic recipe, Shirley! I also cook for some diabetic people who are often so limited in foods they can safely eat. This gets a high fiver from me, and next time I cook breakfast for them, THIS is on the menu! :+D
