Ingredients

How to make it

  • Cut four slices of the bread into 1/2" cubes.
  • Layer bottom of a square baking dish with bread cubes.
  • Mix tuna, onion, green pepper, celery and mayonnaise together.
  • Spread mixture over diced bread.
  • Trim crust from remaining four slices of bread and place on top of tuna.
  • Mix beaten eggs and milk together and pour over top of bread being careful to cover all bread.
  • Cover with plastic wrap then place in refrigerator over night.
  • Remove from refrigerator and warm to room temperature.
  • Remove plastic wrap and bake at 325 for 20 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and sprinkle cheese and paprika on top.
  • Return to oven and bake 15 minutes more at 325.
  • Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

    I was getting all excited about this new and different tuna recipe! Then I saw "refrigerate overnight." Aw, man! Oh well, will definitely plan ahead and make this sometime soon! Bookmarked and printed - thank you.
