How to make it

  • Cut onions in half, then slice lengthwise
  • Melt about 2 TBSP butter or margerine in saute pan or use about same amount of EVOO
  • Add tsp or so of minced garlic
  • Saute onions till limp and clear
  • Sprinkle with about 1 TBSP sugar
  • Continue to saute until onions start to brown
  • Be sure to stir constantly
  • Adjust above ingredients to taste
  • Enjoy!

    These sound yummy. I like to take my tiny muffin tin and make baby tarts and fill them with the onions and add some smoked gouda to the top and bake.....MMMM a great mouthfull for little get togethers! I'll try your onions the next time I make my tarts!!
