Grasshopper Torte

- CRUST: shopping list
- 2 pkgs Nabisco chocolate wafers shopping list
- 1-1/4 stick butter shopping list
- FILLING: shopping list
- 1 cup whole milk shopping list
- 60 marshmallows shopping list
- 2 jiggers of Creme de cocoa shopping list
- 2 jiggers of creme de menthe shopping list
- 1 pint whipping creame shopping list
How to make it
- CRUST:
- Crush wafers into fine crumbs (use blender or food processor if possible)
- Melt butter
- Add to crumbs
- Pat firmly into bottom & sides of a 9 x 13 baking pan**
- ** If desired, hold back 1/2 cup of crumbs for top
- FILLING:
- Bring milk to boil
- Add marshmallows, stirring over a low heat until completely melted
- Let mixture cool and then
- Add Creme de Cocoa & Creme de Menthe
- Whip the cream to firm peaks form
- Fold into COOLED mixtures
- Pour filling over crust
- Sprinkle reserved crumbs over filling
- Cover with plastic wrap or foil
- Put IMMEDIATELY into FREEZER
- Freeze for at leat 24 hours before serving
- Before serving: THAW 1/2 to 1 hour
- Refreeze any leftovers
