How to make it

  • CRUST:
  • Crush wafers into fine crumbs (use blender or food processor if possible)
  • Melt butter
  • Add to crumbs
  • Pat firmly into bottom & sides of a 9 x 13 baking pan**
  • ** If desired, hold back 1/2 cup of crumbs for top
  • FILLING:
  • Bring milk to boil
  • Add marshmallows, stirring over a low heat until completely melted
  • Let mixture cool and then
  • Add Creme de Cocoa & Creme de Menthe
  • Whip the cream to firm peaks form
  • Fold into COOLED mixtures
  • Pour filling over crust
  • Sprinkle reserved crumbs over filling
  • Cover with plastic wrap or foil
  • Put IMMEDIATELY into FREEZER
  • Freeze for at leat 24 hours before serving
  • Before serving: THAW 1/2 to 1 hour
  • Refreeze any leftovers

    I used to make something similar years ago, but it was a pie, made in a 9 inch pie pan. It wasn't frozen though, just chilled. It was so good and I was hoping to run across the recipe again and here it is! Thank you. I will be making this one!
