How to make it

  • Put the walnuts into a heat-proof glass bowl or ceramic bowl
  • Add the sugar and sour cream to a medium-sized sauce pan and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar melts.
  • Cook for four minutes and add the vanilla extract and cinnamon.
  • Stir and cook for one more minute.
  • Pour the mixture over the walnuts.
  • Stir until the walnuts are coated.
  • Pour on to a pan either coated with butter or on to waxed paper.
  • *In this day and age, you can use the Release aluminum foil or a large silicone baking mat.
