Honey Almond Sour Cream Cake Recipe
This is a quick cake to throw together and so delicious! Perfect for coffee break!

Ingredients
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 c creamed honey
  • 1 c cooking oil (I use canola)
  • 1 c sour cream
  • 2 3/4 c flour
  • 1 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 c slivered almonds
  • 1/4 c liquid honey

Directions
  1. Beat the sugar and eggs then add the creamed honey and beat well.
  2. Add the oil slowly, beating on low speed until completely blended.
  3. Add the sour cream and beat some more.
  4. In another bowl combine the flour, baking powder, soda, salt, and almonds.
  5. Add to wet ingredients, stirring until smooth.
  6. Pour into a greased 9x13 baking pan and bake in a 350 degree oven for an hour, or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
  7. While cake is still warm brush the liquid honey over top and serve warm.
