RED AND GREEN ON SNOW MOUNTAIN APPETIZER Recipe Rosemaryblue / All my dishes

A fantabulous T'nT spread! Guests flock to it. Created this at Christmas one year. RED & GREEN pepper jelly, bacon, green onions, toasted pecans topping a mountain of snow white cream cheese! BEAUTIFUL PRESENTATION. EASY!!

Ingredients
  • 4 8-ounce packages cream cheese
  • 1 jar RED pepper jelly
  • 1 jar GREEN pepper jelly
  • Sliced GREEN onions (about 1/4 cup)
  • Crumbled bacon (8 slices, or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans, (can toast, made it both ways)
  • CAN DOUBLE CHEESE AND INGREDIENTS AND MAKE A LARGE PRESENTATION
  • NOTE: MAY SERVE WITH ASSORTED CRACKERS EITHER SURROUNDING THE CHEESE OR PLACE CRACKERS CLOSE BY

Directions
  1. If in a hurry, can stack the blocks of cream cheese... OR
  2. Can form into a ball
  3. Place ball with spatula (or hands) on plate, dish, board, footed cake stand
  4. Think of an imaginary line dividing the cheese ball in half
  5. Pour some of RED jelly on TOP of ONE side of cheese, letting it slide so that some of the white cream cheese shows through
  6. Then close to RED jelly, starting on top, pour some of the GREEN jelly, letting it slide so that some of white cream cheese shows through
  7. Basically one side RED, one side GREEN, (just lets color show)
  8. Top with crumbled bacon, in free form
  9. Top bacon with sliced green onions, in free form
  10. Top with pecans last, in free form
  11. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, AND ABSOLUTELY DELECTABLE!
