Very easy. Few sauces are as easy to prepare. Low calorie,nonfat. Can be used as topping for ice cream, angel food cake, pancakes waffles, salad dressings, marinades, salsas, meats, cream cheese, etc.

  • 1 16-ounce package frozen unsweetened blackberries, thawed
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • HOW SIMPLE

Directions
  1. Puree berries and sugar in processor
  2. Strain through fine sieve
  3. Discard seeds
  4. Can be made ahead
  5. Cover, chill

I do this but instead of sugar use honey and then use a saucepan to make into puree, also you can make a quick jam out of this recipe by adding a bit of flour and bringing to a boil then letting it sit.
