    I do this but instead of sugar use honey and then use a saucepan to make into puree, also you can make a quick jam out of this recipe by adding a bit of flour and bringing to a boil then letting it sit. The recipe is on my blackberry and apple cake recipe if your interested. Just click on the picture, it's under comments.
