Southwestern Quiche

- 1 unbaked 9" pie shell shopping list
- 4 eggs shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped onion shopping list
- 1 teaspoon red chile powder shopping list
- 1 teaspoon black pepper shopping list
- 1 cup chopped green chile shopping list
- 2 cups heavy cream or 1 cup evaporated milk or 1 cup half & half shopping list
- 1 cup shredded swiss cheese shopping list
- 1/2 cup crumbled cooked bacon shopping list
How to make it
- Separate eggs and beat egg yolks.
- Whip egg whites until thick and foamy.
- Fold egg whites into yokes along with salt, onions, red chile powder, black pepper and green chile.
- Add cream or evaporated milk to mixture and blend well.
- Layer swiss cheese over bottom of pie crust and then pour egg mixture into pie crust.
- Sprinkle crumbled bacon over top.
- Bake at 425 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until browned and solid.
- Serve hot.
