Ingredients
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 stalk celery, chopped
  • 1/2 lb. baby carrots
  • 4 small potatoes, quartered
  • 4 to 6 lb. turkey breast, partially thawed
  • 14 oz. chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper corns, crushed (vary on taste)

Directions
  1. Spray a 3-4 quart crock pot with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Place the onions, celery, carrots, and potatoes on the bottom.
  3. Put the turkey breast on top of the vegetables.
  4. Combine the chicken broth, water, and poultry seasoning, then pour over the turkey breast.
  5. Sprinkle crushed peppercorns over the top of turkey to your taste.
  6. Cover crock pot and cook on low for 5-7 hours
  7. *I have a large 7 quart crock pot and followed the time 8 hours on low cooking and that works perfect for me - remember to follow the directions on your crock, that's important!*

Hi Linda :) It's really easy to make and I'm finding the more time I spend with the recipe there are different things I can do such as leaving certain veggies out and get away with it. ha ha ha! Enjoy!

Making today... I saw your comment and left the potatoes out... Have to have mashed with gravy! If this passes my husbands taste.. It will become a regular, to be sure! I love turkey and it is healthy!

You know I've done up the potatoes with the turkey then just pulled them out after everything is finished and mashed them some milk and butter to go home style like. That is how I usually do it to save on cook time. Looking forward to knowing how it turns out for you and your family. We have another turkey breast in our deep freezer that I've been wanting to make so I might do that this weekend. :)

Milk is awesome!

I used this recipe on a package of 3 rotisserie flavored turkey breasts and vegetable broth (my child is allergic to chicken.) This was phenomenal.
