ORANGE-GLAZED PORK CHOPS

- 4 nice thick pork chops... at least 1 1/2 inches thick... with pocket or make the pocket. shopping list
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine shopping list
- 1/3 cup finely chopped onion shopping list
- 1/2 cup celery shopping list
- 1 1/2 cup soft bread cubes shopping list
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon grated orange peel, zest. shopping list
- 1 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt shopping list
- 3 tablespoon orange juice shopping list
- glaze shopping list
- 1/2 cup orange juice shopping list
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar packed shopping list
- 1/4 cup orange marmalade shopping list
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 375f
- wipe pork chops well
- Make stuffing: In how butter in skillet cook onions and celery until tender-about 8 minutes.. Add bread cubes and brown slightly.
- remove from heat
- Add parsley, salt , orange peel, 1 teaspoon seasoned salt and orange juice. Toss mixture lightly to combine.
- Foll pockets of chope with stuffing.
- Stand chops on rib bones on rack in shallow roasting pan..
- Sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
- Pour water to 1/2 inch deep in roasting pan... do not touch rack with water... use judgement on amount.
- cover with foil bake 1 1/2 hours
- while baking...
- combine all glaze ingredents in a small saucepan, mixing will.. Bring to boiling stirring.
- reduce heeat and simmer uncovered 15 min. stirring
- Remove foil after the 1 1/2 hour.. pour off water.
- Brush chops with some of the glaze.
- Bake uncovered 30 minutes or until chops are tender and brown basting with glaze every 10 minutes..
- This is a excellent Sunday dinner... Double it for company.
