Thyme Pepper Burgers

- 1 egg beaten shopping list
- 2 tablespoons milk shopping list
- 3/4 cup soft bread crumbs shopping list
- 3/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg shopping list
- 1 pound ground beef shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped onion shopping list
- 1 cup beef broth shopping list
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1-1/2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 3/4 teaspoon dried thyme shopping list
- 1 medium green bell pepper cut into strips shopping list
How to make it
- In large bowl mix egg, milk, bread crumbs, salt and nutmeg.
- Add ground beef and mix by hand until well blended then shape into 4 patties.
- Place a skillet over medium heat.
- Add patties and brown for 4 minutes on each side then remove from skillet.
- Add onion to skillet and cook until tender but not browned then drain off excess fat.
- Whisk together beef broth and flour.
- Pour into skillet and stir in Worcestershire sauce and thyme.
- Cook over medium heat stirring until thickened.
- Return patties to skillet and add green peppers.
- Cover and simmer until burgers are cooked through about 5 minutes.
