Eagle Wing Cashews And Pecans Recipe
Recipe given to me, was told that guests love these sweet, salty spicy cashews,pecans. Am going to try it for holiday season.Note says guests love them,they will fly away. So I named the recipe,Eagle Wings.Wanted to share.

Ingredients
  • 4 sticks unsalted butter*
  • 1 can Eagle Brand milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 pound cashews
  • 1 pound pecans
  • COATING
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • NOTE: Thought about using less butter?

Directions
  1. In saucepan place butter, Eagle Brand milk
  2. After butter melts, cook about 5 minutes
  3. Stir in vanilla
  4. Add cashews and pecans, stir gently
  5. Place nuts on cookie sheet in 375 degree oven
  6. Bake for 15 minutes, stirring a couple of times
  7. Remove from oven
  8. Cool on cookie sheet, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes
  9. Meanwhile in a zip lock bag, place salt, chili powder, mix
  10. Add sugar to the salt, chili powder mixture
  11. After cooling for 30 minutes on cookie sheet, add nuts to the salt, chili powder, sugar mixture to coat.
  12. After coating place cooled nuts in a container with lid or zip lock bags
