How to make it

  • In the butter, saute the apple and onion, in a large saucepan, until tender. Add in the cabbage and saute for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Pour in the stock and vinegar then bring to a boil. Lower the heat and mix in the raisins, sugar, celery seed, salt and pepper. Then, simmer, uncovered, for 1 hour. Stir in the apple butter and serve.
