Turkish Okra With Lamb

- 750 g okra shopping list
- olive oil shopping list
- 2 large onions chopped shopping list
- 3 large tomatoes sliced shopping list
- 200g mutton / lamb cut into pieces shopping list
- 3 green peppers cut into chunks shopping list
- 1 lemon shopping list
- salt shopping list
- 1/2 cup vinegar (the vinegar is to take away the sliminess of the okra so if you like the slime then omit the vinegar) shopping list
How to make it
- trim and wash okra
- mix 3 tablespoons of salt with the vinegar
- add to okra and let stand for half an hour
- brown onions
- brown lamb
- add half cup of water and a little salt
- cover and cook for 20 min
- rinse okra well
- layer the tomatoes and okra over the lamb starting with tomato
- place the peppers on the top
- pour over lemon juice
- 1 tsp salt and about 400ml water
- cover and cook on med heat for 50-60min.
