Glazed Pearl Onions

- 2 lbs pearl onions shopping list
- 3 Tbl of butter shopping list
- 2 Tbl red currant jelly shopping list
- 2 tsp sugar shopping list
- ¼ tsp salt shopping list
How to make it
- In a deep 12 inch skillet, heat onions and 1 inch of water over high heat
- Reduce to low and simmer for 8 – 10 minutes or until onions are just tender
- Drain, cool onions under cold running water and drain again
- Peel onions leaving a bit of root end to hold shape (skins will slip off easily)
- Wipe skillet dry
- In the same skillet cook onions and remaining ingredients over medium to medium high ,stirring and shaking skillet often, until onions are glazed and caramel in color, about 3 – 5 minutes
