How to make it

  • Melt oleo over low heat
  • add peanut butter ,oleo & confectioners sugar in large bowl
  • Mix well
  • chill mixture before rolling,(I wait at least over night)
  • shape into walnut sized balls
  • melt melting chocolates in heavy saucepan
  • Dip balls in chocolate mix; place on waxed paper to firm chocolate.

    I make these, but being from ohio we call em buckeyes, and don't dunk them all the way, we leave a small spot at the top uncovered so they look like bukeyes

    I used to make something very similar, can't find my recipe now - but it was spread into a 9 x 13 pan, and the chocolate was spread over the top. Think you could do this the same way? Leaving the paraffin out, maybe?
