Tturkish Lamb Kebabs Shish Kebabs

- * 1 kg (2 1/4 lb.) boneless lamb, excess fat removed and cut into cubes shopping list
- * 1 onion, coarsely chopped shopping list
- * 2 tbsp. olive oil shopping list
- * juice of 1/2 lemon shopping list
- * 1 large tomato, cut into wedges shopping list
- * 1 green pepper, seeded and cut into wedges shopping list
- * 2 tbsp. thick yogurt shopping list
- * salt and pepper shopping list
How to make it
- 1. In an earthenware dish, place the onion, the pepper and the lamb; add the lemon juice and olive oil; season with salt and pepper; let marinate for 4 hours in the refrigerator (2 hours at room temperature):
- 2. get the barbie going
- 3. divide the lamb cubes amongst four skewers; brush with cream;
- 4. prepare four other vegetable skewers (one for each guest) with the wedges of onion, peppers and tomatoes;
- 5.cook directly on a very hot barbecue.
- 6. grill for 5 minutes on each side;
- 7. check the vegetables for doneness (they tend to be ready before the lamb);
- 8. serve and enjoy
