How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 180oC. Spread slices of bread with butter. Cut each slice into 4 triangles. Arrange a layer of bread over base of a greased ovenproof dish.
  • Place pear evenly over top, then sprinkle over sultanas and Melts. Arrange remaining bread on top.
  • Whisk together evaporated milk, eggs and sugar. Pour over bread and leave to soak for 5 minutes.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, remove and cool slightly before serving.
