How to make it

  • In a large iron skillet or braiser, place washed shrimp in a single layer.
  • Coat heavily with salt, peppers and oregano.
  • Melt butter and add garlic, lemon juice (with pulp) and Tobasco.
  • Crumble bay leaves evenly over shrimp; then pour butter mixture and wine over all.
  • Sprinkle paprika all over the top and cook in preheated 450 degree oven, uncovered, for 30 - 40 minutes.
  • It is done when shrimp are pink and firm. Don't overcook.
