Ingredients
  • 5 lbs. raw shrimp, unpeeled with heads on if possible
  • salt
  • pepper (black, white and red)
  • oregano
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 3-6 dashes Tobasco
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1-2 sticks butter
  • juice of 1/2 lemmon including pulp
  • paprika
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • (These amounts are just suggestions; use less or more according to your taste.)

Directions
  1. In a large iron skillet or braiser, place washed shrimp in a single layer.
  2. Coat heavily with salt, peppers and oregano.
  3. Melt butter and add garlic, lemon juice (with pulp) and Tobasco.
  4. Crumble bay leaves evenly over shrimp; then pour butter mixture and wine over all.
  5. Sprinkle paprika all over the top and cook in preheated 450 degree oven, uncovered, for 30 - 40 minutes.
  6. It is done when shrimp are pink and firm. Don't overcook.
