Crockpot Chili

- 2 TB olive oil shopping list
- 3 medium sized onions, diced shopping list
- 2 pounds ground turkey shopping list
- 2 (28 oz) cans diced tomatoes shopping list
- 2 (15.5 oz) cans kidney beans, drained and rinsed shopping list
- 1 (28 oz) can baked beans shopping list
- 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce shopping list
- 4 c. frozen corn, thawed , OPTIONAL shopping list
- 1/4 c. chili powder (I prefer New Mexico chili powder) shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp pepper shopping list
- tortilla or corn chips optional shopping list
How to make it
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Cook onions for 10 minutes stirring occaisionally, until nicely browned. Crumble in turkey; cook for 8-10 minutes, until turkey is cooked through.
- Place turkey mixture in a 6 qt crockpot. Stir in remaining ingredients except chili powder. Cook 4 hours on high or 7 hours on low. About 1 1/2 hrs before end of cooking time add chili powder. Serve with tortilla or corn chips along with shredded cheese and sour cream
